Inundation in Kebun Jeruk Has Started to Recede

The Kebon Jeruk Sub-district, West Jakarta has deployed stationer and mobile pumps to handle inundation at a number of points due to overflowing waters of Kali Pesanggrahan and Kali Angke rivers, on Tuesday (5/18) morning.

No evacuation so far. It is because water began to recede

Kebon Jeruk Sub-district Head, Saumun said three points had been inundated since 3 AM. They were namely Green Garden and Pesing Koneng Market areas in Kedoya Utara Urban Village, as well as Jalan Adi Karya Gang Bendungan in Kedoya Selatan Urban Village.

"Stationer pumps have been alerted at Pesing Koneng Market, Taman Ratu and Green Garden areas, including mobile pumps on Jalan Adi Karya Kedoya Selatan," he expressed, Tuesday (5/18).

Infiltration Wells in Central Jakarta will Be Recorded

He explained inundation in Kedoya Selatan as high as 15-14 centimeters had gradually receded. Similar condition was also spotted in Green Garden area, where water as high as 40-50 centimeters had also started to recede.

"No evacuation so far. It is because water began to recede," he explained.

As for the information, the Kali Angke and Kali Pesanggrahan rivers were overflowing due to the high rainfall which had lasted since Monday (5/17) night.
